The Toronto Blue Jays have activated right-handed pitcher Trey Yesavage from the 15-day injured list on Tuesday, and optioned righty pitcher Chase Lee to Triple-A Buffalo in a corresponding move.

Yesavage, 22, has been out since Spring Training as he’s been dealing with a right shoulder impingement.
The team announced earlier in the week that Yesavage would debut Tuesday after he made multiple rehab starts in the minors.
Yesavage - who technically classifies as a rookie despite encapsulating the city with his run in the playoffs a season ago - is a highly-anticipated addition to the pitching staff, especially after Max Scherzer was placed on the IL with multiple injuries on Monday.
Yesavage made his MLB debut on Sept. 15 last year and pitched to a 3.21 earned-run average over three starts down the stretch to help the Blue Jays take the AL East title. He then went to another level in the postseason - in five starts he compiled a 3.58 ERA, set a Blue Jays record for strikeouts in a postseason debut (11) and set an MLB record for strikeouts by a rookie in a World Series game (12) in his masterful seven-inning outing in Game 5.
The Blue Jays demoted Lee, who pitched in Monday’s 5-0 loss and allowed one run over 1.1 innings.
The Blue Jays continue their three-game series against the Boston Red Sox at the Rogers Centre on Tuesday.
