Canada continues to make additions to its roster for the upcoming Men’s World Championship, as TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger reports that Ottawa Senators forward Dylan Cozens will likely head to Switzerland with the team.

Dreger adds that Canada is awaiting word from a few players eliminated in round one of the Stanley Cup Playoffs as well.

Cozens and the Sens were swept by the Carolina Hurricanes in the first round last weekend. He tallied two goals in the series.

The 25-year-old had 28 goals and 31 assists for 59 points in 82 games during the regular season, his first full year with the Sens after coming over in a deal with the Buffalo Sabres the season before.

Cozens is a six-year NHL veteran and has previously represented Canada internationally at the 2020 and 2021 World Juniors.

Dreger reported at the start of this week that Macklin Celebrini, Mark Scheifele, Mathew Barzal, Morgan Rielly, as well as projected No. 1 overall pick Gavin McKenna have agreed to play for Canada at this year’s tournament.

The men’s world championship runs from May 15 to May 31 in Zurich and Fribourg.
