Seven-time Grand Slam winner and wild card Venus Williams rolled back the years to take Karolina Muchova to a deciding set, before losing 6-3, 2-6, 6-1 in the first round of the US Open. At age 45, Williams was the oldest singles player at the hard-court tournament since Renee Richards in 1981.
