Nations League winners for the second time in 2025, Cristiano Ronaldo and co will be looking to add a first ever World Cup title to the honours list.

Quarter-finalists in 2022, Portugal have never reached a World Cup final and this will be the last chance for Cristiano Ronaldo who is set to feature at a sixth and final tournament, a record he is set to share with Lionel Messi but there’s one difference… CR7 is yet to win it. Although, he will miss at least the first match of the finals following his red card against Republic of Ireland in qualifying.

Roberto Martinez took charge of the team in January 2023 becoming just the third foreign head coach in their history and first non-Portuguese speaker.
