The All Whites have qualified for just a third FIFA World Cup, benefitting from the expansion which ensured they did not require an inter-confederation play-off where they had fallen in 2014, 2018 and 2022.

Last featuring in South Africa in 2010, they exited the competition unbeaten following draws against Paraguay, Slovakia and holders Italy.

Darren Bazeley’s side will be looking to make history in 2026… they are yet to win a World Cup match having lost 3 and drawn 3 of their previous 6.

Previous World Cup appearances (2):

2010: Group stage (Paraguay, Slovakia, Italy – drew all 3 matches)

1982: Group stage
