Trent Alexander-Arnold’s Champions League debut for Real Madrid was a short one.

The England right-back departed Los Blancos’ tie with Marseille on Tuesday after only four minutes with an apparent hamstring injury.

Dani Carvajal came on in his stead.

The 26-year-old Liverpool native joined Real this summer after nine seasons with boyhood club Liverpool. During his time at Anfield, Alexander-Arnold won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, a League Cup and the 2019 Champions League title.

Internationally, Alexander-Arnold has been capped 34 times by England, appearing at two World Cups and Euro 2024.

Alexander-Arnold has appeared in four La Liga games this season, starting two.
