Canadian international Moise Bambino was stretchered off the field Sunday after the defender sustained a fractured tibia during Nice’s 2-2 draw against Monaco in Ligue 1.
To see Bombito sustain a leg injury, just weeks after coming back from a stress fracture in his tibia and hours before he's set to travel to MTL to meet up with #CanMNT, is really tough https://t.co/Ge9QQ9fvpo

Bombito, 25, attempted to make a tackle on Monaco forward Folarin Balogun and was injured in the process.
The Montreal native appeared to be in significant pain on the field, and was later carried off by members of the club’s medical staff.
Bombito had recently returned to game action for Nice last month after missing almost four months while recovering from wrist surgery and a tibia stress fracture.
While sidelined with the wrist injury, Bombito missed the entirety of Canada’s run to the quarterfinal at the CONCACAF Gold Cup this past June.
His status is now in doubt for Canada’s friendlies against Australia and Colombia later this month.
