The Ottawa Senators recalled six players from AHL Belleville on Sunday afternoon, including rookie defenceman Carter Yakemchuk and AHL goal-scoring leader Arthur Kaliyev.

Forwards Graeme Clark, Xavier Bourgeault, Oskar Pettersson and Tyler Boucher were also among the recalls.

Belleville wrapped up their season yesterday, finishing out of the playoffs and last in the North Division with a 28-35-9 record.

Yakemchuk, the seventh-overall pick in the 2024 draft, scored 10 goals with 40 points in 54 games in his first professional season. He also made his NHL debut with Ottawa, scoring one goal with one assist in four appearances.

Kaliyev led the AHL with 40 goals this season and was third in points with 77.

The 24-year-old winger has skated in 204 career NHL games, scoring 38 goals with 76 points, split between the Los Angeles Kings, New York Rangers and Senators.

Ottawa opened up their first-round playoff series against the Carolina Hurricanes with a 2-0 loss in Game 1 on Saturday. Game 2 goes Monday night in Carolina.
