Justin Pippen is back in the Big Ten.
ESPN’s Pete Thamel reports the combo guard is set to transfer from California to Ohio State for his junior season. The 20-year-old Los Angeles native played his freshman campaign at Michigan.

Pippen is the son of Chicago Bulls icon Scottie Pippen.
After spending his season at Michigan as a seldom-used bench player, Pippen started all of the 38 games he appeared in for the Golden Bears last season. He averaged 14.2 points on .370 shooting, 4.6 assists and 1.9 steals over 30.8 minutes a night. Cal entered the NIT where they reached the second round.
Thamel notes that Pippen is expected to replace Devin Poyal, who entered the transfer portal earlier this week.
Jake Diebler’s OSU team was 21-13 this season (12-8 in conference play) and returned to March Madness after a three-year absence. An eight-seed, the Buckeyes fell to No. 9 TCU in the first round by a score of 66-64.
