The Vegas Golden Knights should have two of their top defencemen in the lineup in Game 4 Tuesday, as head coach John Tortorella said that Noah Hanifin and Brayden McNabb are both expected to play, per TSN’s Ryan Rishaug.
As Rishaug reports, both players missed Monday’s skate with separate injuries.
Hanifin reportedly suffered a minor injury in Game 3 on Saturday - he briefly went to the locker room in the second period after absorbing a hard check, but was able to return to the ice. He finished the double-overtime game with two hits and two blocked shots in 20:53 of ice time.
McNabb left Game 2 on Thursday in the second period after taking a slap shot to the face, and was taken to a local hospital for further examination. He received two stitches for the injury, but was able to suit up in Game 3 and logged 35:47 over 49 shifts in the game.
Hanifin totaled three goals and 28 points in 71 games in the regular season, and has seven assists in 19 games in the playoffs. McNabb scored five goals and totaled 12 points in 63 games in the regular season, and has a goal and nine points in 18 postseason games.
The Golden Knights are looking to take a commanding 3-1 series lead on home ice in Game 4 against the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday.
